Keywords and Non-Alphabetic Characters

I was bored for a few minutes this evening so I counted up the number of keywords and non-alphabetic characters in some popular computer languages. Here are the results. I obtained the numbers by going to the language reference manuals and counting up the keywords and non-alphabetic symbols. The numbers could be out by +/- 5%. C was and is one of my favorite languages and I am pleased to see that it has the fewest keywords and punctuation of all five languages.

And as usual, C++ has “fixed” that problem with C 🙂
